The last 5 runs of the GFS have had anywhere from a total of 1.5" and up to 6" over the next 16 days. Most of it falls of course during the Sat.-Mon period next weekend. Even includes some retrograde motion as pointed out by others here.

Stay out of the water on Friday PM despite the nice weather. I think the lifeguards are gone for the season so I expect the backup lifeguards (ie. FD units located near beach areas) to have many calls. NB: I just spotted the LG's here in CI go on duty, so maybe they are here till school starts as usual.
