So the EPS has 100% chance of 1". GFS is 50%. 1" of what? Skew T shows when there is precipitation the freezing level rises to 300 feet above the surface anyway. High water content and it will disappear w/o the slightest urging.

The best 5 Day Period of the next four and all it will achieve is preventing this Feb. from being the warmest ever. The ridge gains its revenge in the next two such periods. It will burn your ass. The heavy stuff missed to my south---at a little past 4:00pm. Hope northeast NJ got away safely. But Dorothy will spin like a top around here through May.

The Low was 79 that day, not 87. While we are on a topic like this---has anyone ever checked the Governor's Island T Data that predates CPK by about 45 years. UncleW posted it once and I remember seeing a July monthly average that beat our current hottest July by quite a bit---and wondered if it was accurate and could be checked against Philadelphia or Boston or some college collected data of the time.

Before the rains come Friday it will be 20 degrees AN. The only day with even a 1 degree BN at 100% is the 18th. This winter is in the Drier and set for BURN IT. JB has been finding analogs that match for this entire winter and has had the cold returning from about Jan. 10--- in other words 5 weeks ago. Now he swears he sees his father walking home in the snow to his house and its April '56 and he is only nine months old and it is going to happen again, with or without dad.
