About Me
I currently serve as Director of Public Safety for a North Carolina Hospital System. I have worked in public safety, risk and emergency management for both public and private organizations. I also serve as an Adjunct Professor at Anderson University where I teach classes in Emergency Management and Homeland Security to undergrad students. Additionally I have served as Chairperson of the Pickens County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and I am a trained weather spotter. My profession allows me to closely follow the weather, which has always been a passion.
I became a big winter weather fan during the winter of 76/77 when I was still in elementary school. I was such a geek, that the first thing I would do when I got home from school was go turn on the NOAA radio to hear the afternoon forecast. Even today, I still check the afternoon forecast discussions from KGSP almost every day.
