My goal is 12 years, a small house somewhere north of here (preferably Lake Placid area but we’ll see what NY looks like) and something near the Delaware beaches to appease the wife lol
All the schools around here are delayed, hills and secondary roads were a mess earlier but all seem ok now. Trees are hanging lower but thankfully a certain someone managed to bust yet again and my power lines are fine.
He thinks that because im pointing out that we should be discussing ice, that i am not only rooting for that outcome, but that ice accrection on the roads will somehow burst my pipes inside my house lol.
Potential for a pretty legimate icing event and we’re in between discussing why parts of the area dont get as much snow and why rockland county might get 1” of snow instead of the 2” it showed on a map we were told not to use anyway.
We bought ours right before floyd in 99, used it for a few days then, have probably used it 5 times since then...although thats probably more a product of a wood burning stove and laziness more than a lack of need lol
Also...final reminder that this isnt the NYC forum, its the ny metro forum. If parts of the metro area, including areas ~30 miles from nyc, are going to see frozen precip, it gets discussed here.
Ill take that bet. Anyone within 30 miles of nyc proper sees snow and ice, you finally adhere to your claim(s) that you wont attempt to guess whats coming in this “difficult pattern”. deal?
Irishrob gonna be angry you called him a nerd. First time in his life hes been called that for sure....
I actually take a bunch of measurements. I have 3 boards (one that gets average sunlight, one that gets almost zero during the winter which is roughly 1/3 of my yard) and one that gets full sun from 8:30 am till about 2 pm. I also tend to check the yard and the tables to see how close they are. Over the course of a season it tends to average out pretty close, the obvious biggest difference is retention between the boards.
