  1. 45 here this morning low. yesterdays morning rain event .95 for the month 1.72.
  2. Any thoughts on the severe thunderstorm risk today?
  3. I planted sugar peas and regular peas yesterday. Hopefully it warms up to get more veggies in the ground
  4. According to Weather World the next 30 days look below average as far as temperatures are concerned. They also said possible frost and freeze too. I'm looking for warm sustained temperatures, but I guess that's not the case. But they made a forecast for last July they said heat would be absent in Pa. But we all know how that turned out. I hope they are wrong.
  5. Another cloudy damp dismal day with some drizzle thrown in at times for good measure.
  6. Could have at least gave a severe weather statement. Based on where your located and the way the storms were moving, we probably got that storm just a little later. I was watching the lightning before the storm showed up and the storm seemed to lose quite a bit of lightning when it showed up here.
  7. 1.73 rain yesterday including the inch that fell during last night thunderstorm. It struck hard about 3 times and one wasn't far away from my house, good 1st storm to get our season underway.
  8. So I guess we'll have another cold, tree raking, wind event Thursday and Friday again.
  9. I think he will bite the bullet the next few weeks. And then he'll say he didn't see it coming!
  10. This is from DT: for NC VA WVA MD DEL PA OH KY IND NJ the Risk of any sort of **SIGNIFICANT Winter Weather*** is done. Yes I know some in VA NC MD did not see real winter / snow. Now the key phrase is **SIGNIFICANT Winter Weather**. Yes of course between now and say APRIL 1 it will get cold from time to time. Like Duh..... When I say "SIGNIFICANT Winter Weather" that term refers to SNOW and or ICE chances. If the mountains of WVA or western PA see a snow shower... that really does not count. Also notice here I left out the Great Lakes and New England regions from this. I see no real threat for those areas through March 20 but it is too soon to call it for those areas
  11. This cold and wind is starting to get old. I can do without this wind, it definitely adds a more pronounced bitter chill to the air.
  12. When I was younger in my late teens early 20s we looked forward to snow. Especially deep snows and drifting. We would go out and conquer the drifts with cars from the 60s and 70s that were rear wheel drive. We never got stuck or in an accident. I agree society has gotten soft. But also now if you get in an accident the first thing people wanna do is sue.
  13. Will this be a wet or dry snow? And what ratio are we looking at?
