I just want to post this from the Dalmatia fire co. on this tragic accident yesterday morning: Lower Mahanoy Fire Company - Station 62 · This morning at approximately 2:25 am crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 2890 State Route 147 in Lower Mahanoy Twp. The sole occupant of the original accident was fatally struck approximately 1/4 mile north of the initial accident by responding fire apparatus. Crews remained on scene for approximately 6 hours while PSP Stonington, Pennsylvania State Police Accident Reconstruction Team, and the PSP Motor Carrier Enforcement conducted their investigation. Fire apparatus that responded to the emergency had dash cameras that were voluntarily turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police to assist in their investigation along with witness statements. We ask that you keep the victim and their family along with first responders in your thoughts while everyone deals with this tragic incident. No further details will be posted or released until the the state police conclude their investigation. We may never know the exact reason for the tragic chain of events that occurred this morning but we also ask that you respect the family and first responders and don't post false information or hear say unless its verified by a reliable source as there are alot of assumptions and posts circulating that are inaccurate. Once the investigation concludes more details will be released. Thank you for your patience and kind words as responders and the family mourn and try to deal with the events of this morning.

Don't know exact details but from my source a retired paramedic, his source says and accident victim was struck and killed by the firetruck, possibly Herndon fire truck. Tragic.

467 at my house and down at the creek which is 150 ft. away from the house is 453. You hear stuff about these micro climates...I think i live in it especially in the summer, not in the winter though.

I'll be there for parade and carrnie tonight. Seriously I took notice on some of the model maps that they have it warmer in the mid Susquehanna Valley then Harrisburg. and Williamsport was warmer on Sunday than the burg was.

definitely tropical this morn.

wow low was 77 sometime after midnight but woke up at 5:15 and its 82. This is one of the warmest nights that I can remember in a long time. I remember a night like this about 40 years ago where it never dipped down below 84 and the high the previous day was in the low 100's. Its remarkable to me when this this sort of thing happens, as it doesn't happen very often.
