  1. I don't need any more rain at my location for at least 4days. With over 2 and a half inches that fell this week plus I was pumping water out of the creek to water the garden before we got this rain. Now the garden is saturated and there is water laying at various spots in the garden.

I saw the lightning from that storm all the way over here. Checked radar, and it looked like it was headed my way, so I put the wife's hanging plants out in the yard for a natural drink. Well, it fell apart, and we only got 0.01" out of it...lol

I thought it would fall apart till it got to me. They usually do at night before the cross the river, but that was not the case last night.

I'd like at least a little refresher with the front on Thursday with what looks like a spell of dry weather coming up at the end of the week into next week. But I'm incredibly thankful for what's happened here over the past week. Everything is greening up and best of all...lawn mowers are humming again.

Being your mower  was sitting and not being used for an extended period of time. Are you gonna have to do bodywork on the mower, before you use it again to fix those gaping rusted out sections?

That is more than some have had for close to 3 months.

Yes I guess i was lucky. My son lives about 3 miles as the crow flies from me and he only got .08 from the storm today. The grass was at the point where I probably wouldn't mow this week, but got that .94 this afternoon so it's game on for mowing at the end of this week.

Seeing a lot of local forecasts that some areas today and tonight will pick up 3-4" of rain - you're at the top of the leaderboard heading into the 2nd round of play.

That 3-4 in of rain might not be a good thing if it comes in a short period of time.

We're all going to look like ass a-holes in September talking about this drought versus surplus when we are being boated off of our roofs after the category five hits Havre de Grace and goes right up the gut.

Were long over due for a tropical storm of some sort. We had drought in 2011 and look what happened in September.

  9. Discrepancies over forecast...again.

    NWS

    Today
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. High near 81. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
    Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Patchy fog before 4am, then patchy fog after 5am. Low around 68. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

ABC27 says less than half inch through Wednesday. I wonder if NWS will cave again to ABC27?
