FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following county, Buncombe. * WHEN...Until 815 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
  2. Low clouds this morning. Nice and cool.
  3. Looks like training rain and storms have setup over Haywood and Jackson County tonight. Could easily push over 3 inches today....
  4. Moderate to heavy rainfall again tonight....
  5. Yeah this weekend looks like a washout for the most part.
  6. These storms today means business. So far today we've had over 2.50 inches of rainfall and looks like more to come. I just missed an isolated storm at the house that has the creek out of it's banks and water running through the roads like a river.
  7. Might see some big storms come from the SW this week.
  8. Had an amazing low of 41 degrees and the light show last night was amazing! A first for me!

  12. Was humid and very warm today in Buncombe. Finally got home to low humidity with a temp of 57 degrees. Going to be a beautiful weekend.

  15. Today's high was supposed to be 78... Currently at almost 2pm it's 59 degrees...
  16. The storms last night meant business! Impressive wind and thunder and lightning.
  17. It's gotten eerily still before the main line hits.
  18. The main line isn't here yet but it's popping off individual localized cells out in front of it.

Northern Buncombe County in western North Carolina... * Until 1215 AM EDT. * At 1114 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 13 miles south of Greeneville to 17 miles southeast of Maryville to 12 miles northwest of Robbinsville to 11 miles north of Murphy, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
