  1. Looks like we will have a very active day the next 24 hours with high winds, severe storms, then a chance of snow tomorrow morning...
  2. Yeah I was going to say the euro shows a potential for a large sized system affecting us in about a week... That being said it could be gone today the way the models have been handling things recently.
  3. Not sure how big a threat it is but in about 10 days the Euro is showing a strong trough in the east with some type of system maybe. Looking at the indices I think this has some merrit with the AO and the NAO finally going negative somewhat. Something to look at and track possible.
  4. Heavy rain last night then some high winds ushered in the cold air. Temp down to 37 degrees. I love it.
  5. Another frosty morning. These past few days have been pure gold. Nice cold mornings and warm afternoons. Looks like we get another cool down in a few days. Maybe, maybe a high elevation flake. I still cannot believe the persistent plus NAO that we have been in...
  6. Another frosty morning. We have had more frosts in March than in February.
  7. Yeah this weekend was absolutely beautiful. Was nice to have a dry weekend for once.
  8. We are expected to get some heavy rainfall here in the SW mountains. No surprise as we are continuing to run well above normal in precipitation this year alone. We are some 4 to 7 inches above normal already.
  9. Yeah hitting a lot of the hardest hit areas this past month.
  10. Nice man. Good to see you posting with this event coming up.
  11. You should be in a prime spot for this one. Actually I think most of the mountains could get a foot plus.
  12. I'm not saying it's too cold to snow. All im saying is we live in the SE. Historically in some of our coldest months ever they have been some of our least snowiest months around here. It is a well known fact that a lot of the big snowstorms we see around here we get with temps right around 30 degrees. Yes i have seen it snow around 0 degree but we did not get a foot of snow from that. Having such cold high pressure systems bearing down on the region is hurting our chances for snow as we have already seen with basically two systems disappearing.
  13. Lol she deleted one of my post telling Grit that the trends on the models where getting worse. I could care less. The too cold too snow and people trying to talk themselves into believing it will snow in there backyard are funny. Its like every new update is the same thing. Trough is sharper it looks better through about hour 54, Mack comes in BOOM we are going to have a great run then it just takes a nose dive!
  14. Why would it with massive high pressure building in. Have you not seen the extreme cold coming in?
  15. Yeah if we get what looks to be coming then a lot of people will be caught off guard. The roads could be a disaster.
  16. Actually with the way things have trended we are left high and dry. No moisture around.
  17. No kidding! I was looking at the snow all the way into Mexico and along the Gulf coast in Louisiana, Alabama, and parts of the Panhandle. Shoot even New Orleans kind of got in on that run. Pretty crazy how the trough is oriented then the moisture comes in deep.
  18. We are screwed in WNC. We have buds and leaves coming out. With highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits it's going to burry everything.
  19. Lol count on it. I was thinking the same thing.
  20. Fire up the grill! Mixed drinks and burgers everyone!
