    Yeah mountains wide this is the best setup we have seen in several years. We have cold air in place, a deep low bombing out, deep moisture from the Gulf, a very strong cold front blasting through with rich moisture wrapping around the low and the cold air squeezing out every ounce of moisture in the air that will fall across the mountains. This could be one heck of a storm.

    I like this run a lot better and we may get better solutions yet.

    I'd say a 6 to 12 inch warning would suffice most of the mountain counties.

    Im not so sure im sold with the mixing of sleet and freezing rain in our area. Maybe if the rates really lightened up but at the hight of the storm? No way we are going from whiteout conditions to a sleet fest then back to snow...

    Some but more snow and with those heavy rates I bet it stays mostly snow.

    Looks like this run we getting hammered with some very heavy snow. Some mixing but not as much as the 6z.

    Really we are due for a significant ice storm. I hate to even say that but it's been several years since we have had one.

    AccuWeather sucks. Stick to the models and the trends.

    Good Lord over an inch of freezing rain for Asheville. That would be catastrophic.

    Yeah the 6z goes from snow to freezing rain sleet mix at the heart of things. Then wraps back around to finish as snow on the backside of things but snow totals would be drastically cut down.

    Yeah great run by the Euro. That's exactly where we need to be.
