    This so called pattern change is becoming delayed again and again.

    My thing is the MJO is just not going to move for us. Seems like we are back peddling again with it being stuck in phase 7. I know feedback issues and such but like last year it looks like cold dumps out west then may bleed east. We will see.

    Yeah im really trying to be patient but we have been burnt so many times im like well it is what it is. There are signs there but this season feels so off already. Really weird pattern we have been stuck in.

    Yeah I can remember growing up and always remembering winter really starting around Christmas or New Years.

    The models seem to always have trouble with blocking...

    Im not Grit but if the Pacific doesn't ease up then there is going to be a tug of war with were the cold goes because the PNA is a formable beast currently.

    Left the house at 4:30 and it was down to 21 degrees. Beautiful night.

    I think he was talking about the severe cold snap in the mid section of the country. But I can remember when we would get at least a few night of below zero readings every winter.

    Eh the Euro is not what it used to be. It's better to have consistency across the board than just one model.

    Yep that front is fixing to blow through big time.

    At this point I like New England for winter weather. The PNA is a solid pain in the butt. I know there are grumblings of possible changes in the pattern but I do not see it in the next two weeks.

    Yeah and a lot of people won't understand the connection from here to there is important for the NAO to pop like that. The cold up in Siberia would for sure rotate down or it should rotate down. Fun to look at for sure. I just hope the cold is on our side.

    Big time storm this morning here in Charleston. Looks like more rain on the way.

    Yeah this December may be one to remember for record heat. That's ok im headed to Charleston anyways lol.

    I have a feeling this new pattern is locked in for at least a month. Big time mountain snow in the west with this pattern.

    Yeah things are not looking good at all. A sharp rise in the NAO and a sharp fall in the PNA spells doom for this month already. The ski resorts are going to take a beating

    What the models are spitting out pretty much coincidences with the PNA and NAO areas.

    Oh and if you want snow then move to Hawaii... Who would have thought it. Blizzard warnings up for them there.

    It is very interesting to see runs be so steady with little to no cold shots for the next 2 weeks. Could be right or could be a swing and a miss.

    Yeah not ready to cancel winter December 1st and as this warmth is not welcome, it could mean a turn to much colder weather near Christmas which would work out well or we could still be sitting at 70 degrees for Christmas lol.

    Canada seems to be staying cold so that's a positive.
