Man im so glad the rain is back. I was getting worried it was going to dry up. No real big changes with the upcoming forecast. Still unsettled with cool shot.

Nice! The wind has been cranking all afternoon here in town. Going to be another cold frosty night I believe unless the wind stays stiff. No changes on whats coming down the road. More unsettled cold weather for April.

Thanks moonhowl. Yes you are exactly right on both winters of 2009 and 2010. Yeah this current setup would have been grand for winter but we could not buy a decent look for the NAO OR AO. Yep an extended dogwood winter at that.

It wasnt suppose to frost tonight but we are already down to 42 degrees. We will see how low we can go again.

Yeah the GFS keeps reloading the trough in the east over the next few weeks. Go figure its in April and not in January.

The 12z GFS is still advertising snow for around the 26th and the 27th. The main thing is there is a big signal for another significant trough in the east. Actually the next two weeks the trough in the east just reloads for us... Where was this at this winter?!

The overnight and morning models continue to show and cold and unsettled pattern for the next several weeks. The GFS has even been showing some high elevation snow for around the 26th... The main thing is though is it looks like we are going to have a predominant trough in the east the next week or so.

Both the GFS and the EURO continue to show an unsettled and well below normal pattern for the next week or two.

Another impressive cold morning with a low of 27 degrees. This has been an impressive well below normal period for April.

A bit of rain overnight with temps from 45 to 50 degrees today. Just your typical mid April weather.

Had a low of 23 this morning and a high of 46 yesterday. Very impressive for this time if the year.

No snow down this way but we did have a low of 29 degrees. The moisture just did not make it down here.

We will see snow by tomorrow morning I think.

I will take it without the rainfall. Looks like a good chance for some snow tomorrow morning for elevations above 3500 feet.

Yeah high winds and some big boomers and torrential rainfall will be the biggies. Maybe some hail also. Be safe and alert. You cant rule out a quick spin up from one of these storms.

Yep you are right. Also the GFS did very well during our little events this cold season for storm recognition also. At one point the Euro was like 0 for 5 this season in recognizing our little events. It has stuggled in the SE the past several months it seems like.

The GFS has been doing very well in mid range pattern recognition recently. The EURO has been caving to the GFS recently more than I can remember it used too.

Yeah it has been pretty consistent on showing some snow for Tuesday. We will see. Its definitely going to stay below average for a bit.

When I left the house we were down to 22 degrees. Hard freeze and heavy frost.

Temp is really dropping tonight. Already down to 30 degrees. Could make the low 20s at this rate.

Yeah I am looking to buy a nice little lot up in Rangeley soon. Im waiting to see if prices drop but that place is absolutely beautiful up there.

Temp already down to 36 degrees this evening. Going to be a cold April night for everyone.
