I posted a bit about it but have just been waiting on the models to shy away from it. But the GFS and to and extent the euro has held serve pretty well. I think a lot of people will see some flakes of snow this weekend.
The fire in Maggie valley has been 100 percent contained thankfully. Looks like we may see some severe weather this evening around here and the chance for snow this weekend continues to be on the table.
Had a low of 23 this morning but the big deal is heading into next weekend. Currently this may be a multi-day upslope event with pulses of energy rotating around a trough sweeping in.
The ooz GFS still looks on target to deliver some cold air and some upslope snow this weekend so far. We will see how things shake out but the GFS has been pretty consistent with this.
