  4. I definitely think it can happen. Temp feels like it's dropped this afternoon already.
  5. Yeah both waves look good for this time of the year. Wouldn't be surprised to see some heavy squall thundersnow especially with the dynamics of this system.
  6. 12z GFS continues to look good for this week for flakes in the higher elevations. Also just something fun the GFS is showing snow around the 20th as well...
  7. Some pretty good storms rolled through here around 3 to 3:30 this morning with some more beneficial rain. The overnight models continue to look pretty robust this morning for impulses of snow tomorrow night and for Saturday night also. A very cold April weekend is on tap.
  8. I posted a bit about it but have just been waiting on the models to shy away from it. But the GFS and to and extent the euro has held serve pretty well. I think a lot of people will see some flakes of snow this weekend.
  9. The fire in Maggie valley has been 100 percent contained thankfully. Looks like we may see some severe weather this evening around here and the chance for snow this weekend continues to be on the table.
  10. Yeah with these winds and low humidity this has been prime for fires catching and spreading through the mountains.

  12. No real changes in todays model runs for the event this weekend.
  13. Overnight models continue to look really good for this upcoming weekend. Looks dang cold also.
  14. Had a low of 23 this morning but the big deal is heading into next weekend. Currently this may be a multi-day upslope event with pulses of energy rotating around a trough sweeping in.
  15. Had a cold low of 21 degrees and a pretty cool day today. Love these days.
  16. When I left for work we were down to 25 degrees this morning. Impressive for the end of March. The grass hasn't even started growing yet.
  17. Yeah even with the warmth here and there. January was really blockbuster for us.
  18. The ooz GFS still looks on target to deliver some cold air and some upslope snow this weekend so far. We will see how things shake out but the GFS has been pretty consistent with this.
  19. The wind this weekend can suck it. That is all...
