Yeah we lost power at work for about 2 hours today. Numerous trees where down and some fires broke out around the county. You can see the fire from the interstate on Hookers gap tonight.

The wind here is starting to really crank.

You usually don't see this big of an expansion of high winds in the mountains. May see a ton of power outages coming. Had a decent frost thos morning with a low of 31 degrees.

Yeah going to be a chilly few nights coming up. Definitely was a cool cloudy day today. About 25 degrees cooler than yesterday.

Yeah this weather coming up looks to be typical spring weather for us. I bet we still see some late frosts but heck that's about common anymore.

Not sure about over here but back in wnc our average high is 62 and low is 38. We ran some 20 to 30 degrees below average for several days.

Yeah that 8 degrees is impressive for middle March. We aren't done yet though. Not nearly.

Another cold morning with a low in the teens. Our low this morning was 17 degrees. Impressive for the latter half of March and we aren't nearly done with the cold air just yet.

Yeah I read where several areas are running 1 to 2 degrees below what February was running. Pretty rare and remarkable up to this point.

Yeah I saw this also. You can see on the euro how it has a big high coming down as well. The cold is not over yet.

Wow what an impressive cold morning for March 20th... Our low this morning of 10 degrees! That's got to be close to a record. Heck I think that's the coldest we've been since January.

Temps are absolutely nosediving this evening. Already down to 23 degrees at 8pm. Very impressive for this time of year.

Ended up.with a low of 16 this morning. Current temp is 30 already.

Yeah with the cloud cover the temp didn't drop really quickly until right when I was leaving and that was when it was beginning to clear out. No two ways about it. This is very cold for this time of the year.
