    My specific location struggles with marine taint in the coldest of January storms. I remember 1/4/18 when Boston was heavy snow in the teens and I was 33F flirting with rain. Just inland, sure...pattern looks solid!!

    I didn’t say it’s impossible to get snow out here on the tip of Cape Ann this early, I just said I don’t expect it for a while. Sheesh.

    No snow expected along the coast for a while due to warm SSTs, but blocking means some good coastal storms should be kicking up some good surf soon.

    I still had some green maple leaves hanging on as of yesterday. Went to work in the dark, returned in the dark, so not sure if this morning’s 18F low finally did them in.

    It’s happening. My incoming fight is scheduled to land at Logan at 1:40PM on Friday.

    Wires are so old school...above or below ground. If we’re going big, why can’t each home/apt or whatever harness and store its own energy. Granted, we’re probably a generation or two away and we need public policy changes/support, but let’s go big.
