  1. That’s how I feel when I reach for a name brand item at the grocery store when the perfectly good generic item is sitting right next to it. A little different I guess.
  2. STEM with a side of athleticism. A combination for scholarships galore followed by a worthy career.
  3. Just got notification from my employer that we will be participating in Trump’s payroll tax DEFERRAL. I understand the 6.2% withheld for OASDI will be deferred for now and then collected next year. So, we get a net pay bump now, get used to it, and then a big net pay wallop to start off 2021. Brilliant policymaking if I do say so myself. Of course, if we re-elect Trump, we’re good and don’t have to pay the deferred OASDI contributions back, right?
  4. Wow! The weather this long weekend looks like it will be an 11/10! Summer’s last hurrah!
  5. Yeah. I read that too. Maybe a cardiac event induced drowning. Sucky way to go.
  6. Same look here. I have 5 big oaks in my yard that need to come down. Took the 2 most dangerous ones down in April. All said and done, it will cost me north of $7500-8500. And that’s a steal.
  7. Maybe invest in a good set of window shades? Direct sun in the summer is not ideal, but it’s nice in the winter.
  8. LOL. My coworkers in PHX would get a kick out of this post.
  9. I feel like it boils down to bad luck. I read it was “only” a 65 person wedding. That’s not that big, albeit more than the 50 person allowance for indoor events in ME. I guess all it takes is a super spreader or two and then the dominoes fall where they may. Sad story.
  10. 56F for the low here this morning. We step down.
  11. Didn’t BOS hit 101F during the peak of that heat wave?
  12. The rich and privileged have made Boston their playground. It’s a beautiful world class city. Then head over to Roxbury...
  13. Yep. Good on them to use that oil wealth to fund clean energy initiatives though.
  14. We’re readying ourselves for balmy sou’easter after sou’easter this winter. Cutter city. Rains to Maine!
  15. You're about 90 days (or less) away from real winter settling in up there. Enjoy it!
  16. It’s not that cheap either in Burlington proper. I interviewed for a job in Williston several years ago and was shocked at how expensive real estate was up there. Basically a removed suburb of Boston.
  17. Are we about to Simon Cowell the summer heat/humidity?
  18. Let’s support our teachers, not vilify them. If people are really considering slashing teacher pay right now when we most need them at the top of their game, I fear for our future.
  19. Seems like we’ve been doing 90s easily right into the first and second weeks of Sept recently.
