  1. At my hotel here in Twin Lakes... 4 feet or so.. Got pretty warm today though.
  2. About 6 inches here. Most of those crappy storms produced here.
  3. Finally beat my 2.1° from Nov 13th with a -4.1° on the backyard station. Would have been weird having my lowest temp occur in meteorological fall versus winter.
  4. I'm well beyond the years of being excited about 1 to 3 inch snowfalls. Now, if they trigger a multiday LES event in Michigan, that I'm more than happy to deal with.
  5. If the lakes fired up, I'd be fine with that. The lack of LES in northern lower has been annoying.
  6. I'm more or less blaming it on the jet stream being uncooperative. Yea, we might average an extra 1C spread out over a year, but this is simply pattern related.
  7. The only thing worth following on models is next week's storm. This has been a nothingburger from the start.
  8. Some of the digging troughs over the next 10 days should put that stat to bed. Especially if there is snow cover.
  9. The pattern for sustained cold has sucked so far this winter. My coldest temp of the last 3 months happened in early November. 2.1F on Nov 13th. Coldest since was last week at 2.8F.
  10. Amazing how few LES events SW Michigan has seen the last 2 or 3 winters.
  11. Fear the Shingleton stretch. Although it wasn't too bad last weekend. Just dropped $699 on a 2-up seat for my snowmobile... taking my daughter Saturday up to Gaylord most likely. This is first time on a real ride on trails. She joined a ski club at school, so the cost of gear will be justified by that usage alone. Good thing I have 4X4.... Expecting a foot in Gaylord on top of the snow they already have.
  12. I'm most likely taking my daughter up to Gaylord this weekend for a day of riding. Bought the 2Up seat with handles for the Renegade-X.
  13. Everyone acts like normal weather is comprised of average highs and average lows. It's a combination of extreme highs and extreme lows averaged out. November was WAY below normal, December was WAY above Normal.
  14. Oil change is done..... Alarm is set for 5am. Heading up the the eastern U.P Maps show 30+ inches in spots. Hyped. Got heated gloves now with 2 sets of batteries to use when it's ultra cold or for emergencies. Getting a satellite phone, but not for this weekend. Ontario...... there's spots so remote it's crazy.
  15. Even colder... destroys Howell now. I'll be in Marquette for this one and will miss out.
  16. Heading up to the UP Thursday through Sunday. Friday looks a bit blah... but the LES this week should still net a positive snow depth change for the U.P.
  17. Would rather be dry. Rain sucks unless it falls during the growing season.
  18. I doubt it really going to look much different with 2 feet or 4 feet. You need to rent a sled if you want to see deep into the U.P.
  19. Snow in northern lower is really hit or miss. If you lived in the U.P it would be a different story. I'm really not all that bummed about things right now... My plan is to just pay this sled off and ride when I can ride. I bought a 1200 Renegade-X for longevity... Oil changes and wearable parts. Beyond that, ownership isn't much.
  20. Right now this is more like a London England winter.
