    18" in five hours here in that storm. Even with a little thundersleet mixing in.

    Port Jeff Station here...feeling pretty good about where we are. Looking forward to the snow pounding down for a few hours. Think the damage will be done before any changeover, if that happens.

    Day my daughter was born. Spent hours watching the storm from one of the upper floors of Stony Brook Hospital. So cool.

    We usually end up OK in these...better than most. Agree it will be fun, great to have something to watch for a change.

    Couple of pics looking north across the sound from earlier. Bridgeport looked to be getting it good. Then a storm formed right over me with a strike about a quarter-mile away so I beat feet.

    February 2013. Piled up close to 18" between 3 and 8 p.m., 32" total. Craziest rates I've ever seen.
