Had a great ride Thursday, but my bikes out of commission. Blew out the rear hub. Demo’d A new trail bike which was sweet. 3 hour ride on a mix of old school technical single track and new flow trails, ending right at a swimming hole on the mad river.
we go to the mad river valley, sugarbush, mrg and such. luv it up there as much, if not more, in the summer than winter. looking forward to some great riding.
my daughter is the opposite, except when skiing.
Agreed. Weird weekend. Biked saturday morning in anticipation of stormy afternoon but ended up with 'nothing. Then yesterday went kayaking mid day and got rained on.
looking forward to some heat incoming for the holiday. don't like swimming unless its 85+.
Not a golfer. Much prefer football, playing or watching, although it’s been years since I played.. To each his own.
Was nice and warm until about 3. Not much rain here. .07”
My post was poorly worded. The gauge didn’t malfunction, I did. I have a retractable awning/sun shade which is about 18’ wide and when extended, reaches just about where the weather station sits. I left it open all night and the water must have been funneled onto the gauge.
Do you ride a lot out there? I’m going to be in Ithaca in June, and I usually ride shindigan hollow, but always looking for new places to explore. I’ve gone with my son a few places around bgm like chenango which is ok.
Soon. Those ebikes r great. Wouldn’t have to walk up the bad hills. I’ll pm u next time I go for a ride around here. Although I think next weekend is the last one I’m around for until mid July.
meanwhile, just got totally fringed by that storm. 0”.
it was terrible. it was one of the shuttle buses at the festival. the decedent was riding from the festival to the parking area. I was back at the house we rented showering up before dinner. The worst part was when the doctor was breaking the news to us in the ER, the wife called the hospital and the doctor gave me the phone to tell her.
That drive is brutal. hard to do for one day.
Are you going to dirtfest at raystown lake????
went there 3 years ago with my bike crew. Great trails. Unfortunately, after riding Friday, one of the guys got hit by a bus and killed.
