At 400 PM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour is oriented due east of Lake Ontario, from near Sackets Harbor and Mannsville, inland to southern Watertown, Adams, Copenhagen and Croghan. This band will remain steady state through the late afternoon, before sliding southward early this evening. Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this band of lake effect snow. Locations impacted include... Watertown, Sandy Island Beach State Park, Fort Drum, Stony Point, Carthage, Lowville, West Carthage, Adams, Dexter, Glen Park, Herrings, Highmarket, Adams Center, Southwick Beach State Park, Henderson Harbor, Barnes Corners, Whetstone Gulf State Park, Denmark, New Bremen and Watson. This includes Interstate 81 between exits 37 and 48. Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter of a mile in this band of lake effect snow

  7. Starting to get some flakes in the air once again.. Most of the county should be seeing some flakes soon.
  8. Starting to get some residual moisture moving through... Nice steady snow with moderate flake size..
  9. Whenn Zoomed in that map has Altmar right on the 3 foot line, i have 36.75", pretty much as good as it gets imby..
  10. It iis on the money for Kalb Kbuf Ksyr KROC KFZY Little too light for kbgm (couple inches off) And looks good for most of this county..Not going to be exact everywhere i guess.. GSB Cities The 2018 - 2019 Snow Season Normal Average to Date This Time Last Season Normal Seasons Average All Time Season Snowfall Record Binghamton 26.7 9.1 1.8 83.4 135.2 inches (2016 - 2017) Syracuse 24.2 14.4 5.2 123.8 192.1 inches (1992 - 1993) Rochester 19.0 10.2 2.6 99.5 161.7 inches (1959 - 1960) Buffalo 14.2 11.9 0.2 94.7 199.4 inches (1976 - 1977) Albany 10.4 4.7
  11. Could be be a little bit of a "surprise" on sat.. At this point will continue to indicate some minor accumulations of an inch or two within any areas of lake enhancement...though somewhat greater amounts than this are not out of the question given the more favorable moisture and higher capping inversion that will be in place
  12. Hrrr for example would be 6"-9" at 12-1 to 15-1..
  13. I know it is "nowcasting" but it's going suck watching this unfold, majority of models start to weaken the band just before making it here.. I'm already being teased by a decenet band just to the north, light snow currently, dusting on the ground.. If the NWS was that confident in their map they would have a WSW as they have the entire county at 6"+
