  1. What is that 8 hrs in Pulaski Kbuf The pattern will turn much more wintry again for the end of the week and next weekend after our brief warm-up on Wednesday. The +PNA pattern will re-amplify significantly by next weekend across the North American continent, with a deep trough carving out in the east. This will push temperatures to well below average again. This cold pattern will have staying power, with long range outlooks and ensembles suggesting it lasting through the end of the month and beyond.
  2. And lastly the LES event depicted on the euro is mainly WSW with a little westerly, keeps me on the southern fringes, for now..
  3. Out ahead of the system.. Euro has some rain but not much..
  4. Good amount of precip on the ukmet for the week.. Obviously not all snow, as p-type maps are not available.. Still like what i see for most of this week minus a short duration of warmth and rain..
  5. 3k nam is mostly if not all frozen for the cutter/Front, its the secondary wave that starts to rain..
  6. Nam is more of an ice threat and a decent one at that..
  7. Gfs continues to be the coldest out ahead of this cutter/front..
  8. My property is so wide open I don't really have to worry much about drifts, heck it's hard to tell how much snow fell until you walk in it lol
  9. Euro still has a "favorable" west-wsw flow for Friday/Saturday.. Doesn't look like it would last long as we have several northern stream disturbances riding through the flow.. Late Thursday night and Friday a strong mid level trough and associated surface low/cold front will cross the region, marking the leading edge of the return to much colder temperatures. This system will bring a chance of snow showers areawide, with potential for lake enhancement east of the lakes. The cold becomes well established by the weekend. Model guidance begins to diverge with the handling of clipper shortwaves moving through the mean longwave trough, but in a general sense one or two weak systems will continue to support light snow chances through the weekend. There may also be lake effect potential next weekend, although given the model differences with the handling of the clipper systems there is a good deal of uncertainty with respect to placement and strength.
  10. Made it down to -10 last night, currently sitting at -8° with snow showers...
  11. Sure this is NNW event lol At least for now getting some steady flakes with some nice gust..
  12. I finished here at 12".. Did have some down sloping last night even though it didn't look noticable on radar to me lol I lost 2"-3" to my east and west.. Map shows 9"-11", could of been 11" but I measured 12" lol

  14. NE pulaski FTW I think carol will come in higher..
  15. Still ripping out as the backedge is almost through, nearest WU station down to -2 degrees..
  16. Probably includes a little on Friday albeit not much.
  17. Fulton spotter reported 10" on 0.68" LE , so a little better ratios up north.. If anything the models busted with precip amounts for the southern part of the county..
  18. I had to resize this almost down to nothing haha But i did notice the bright banding overnight in the western mohawk valley..
  19. Flakes starting to resemble that of lake effect, always seems to happen when the back edge is coming through..
