  2. While I agree, it's still long shot that the euro/Ggem sniffed this out with a week to go.. In terms of placement/track.. Not ready to jump on this scenario just yet as it would require precise timing and placement of the two waves to interact in this manner, but it will be something to watch closely in model guidance over the coming days.
  3. Some estimated 10"-15" in parts of the tug and Adirondacks for the month of October.. Between 8"-10" here which fits in nicely with the 2 nearest WU stations.(9" and 10" )

  7. Flood warning was issued earlier for parts of the county.. Altmar (east) WU station at 3.22" on day and little over 10" for the month.. * Flood Warning for... Lewis County in central New York... Eastern Oswego County in central New York... * Until 1245 AM EDT. * At 858 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that between 2 and 3 inches of rain has fallen in the warned area. This will result in flooding in small creeks, and cause ponding of water in low-lying areas. Some road closures are possible. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lowville, Central Square, Redfield, Highmarket, Whetstone Gulf State Park, Brewerton, Constantia, West Monroe, New Bremen and Watson.
  8. A cold front will cross the region this evening and mark the onset of stronger wind gusts to 50 mph. This front will near #Dunkirk around 6 pm, the #Buffalo region around 7 pm, and then the Genesee Valley between 8 and 9 pm. Much stronger winds will occur later this evening.

  10. It's seems to be more about the powerful cold front.. strong cold front will sweep east across the region this evening, with damaging winds developing in the wake of the cold front tonight through Friday.

The Flood Watch continues for * A portion of central New York...including the following counties...Jefferson...Lewis and Oswego. * From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Friday evening. * Widespread moderate to heavy rain will develop this afternoon and continue tonight across the eastern Lake Ontario region. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected. * Excessive runoff from the heavy rain may result in flooding of poor drainage areas and small creeks late this afternoon through tonight. Larger rivers will also experience significant rises by later Friday, with flooding possible along the Moose River near McKeever, the Black River, and other rivers that drain the Tug Hill Plateau and western Adirondacks.

  15. Would be a close call, verbatim, on the gfs.. Not that I believe it's thermal profiles..lol If it's cold enough aloft with heavy precipitation I think we probably snow, accumulating is a totally different story lol..
