  1. Still under a flood emergency but everything is ok at my house. It appears central/northern Montco stayed in the heavy rain threat more than the severe threat. I feel for everyone cleaning up. Tomorrow will unfortunately be a busy day for surveyors and those affected.
  2. Agreed. The rain and tornado threat has been talked about for days. But boy was that one tornado large. I am even wondering if it was an EF-4.
  3. Is there anything specifically that is making the region like the Midwest this summer? I have been in the area since 1990 and have seen nothing like this.
  4. Yep, this is the first real hint of fall that I have felt.
  5. Yikes - that’s no fun. Hope it gets restored quickly. Rain here but not as heavy as just nearby.
  6. Thanks. I am on a hill and don’t usually flood, but I have to go out tomorrow so will watch road conditions. At least “showers” would be better.
  7. That’s a good explanation. Hope for the faster moving then! What time are we supposed to see the worst of what comes? I am supposed to be out tomorrow.
  8. Well just like in the winter, heavy bands like that don’t always work out. Hoping for the lesser 1-2” amounts at worst.
  9. Well even I got into the emergency alert action, and I wasn’t in the tornado path. It was just a TV test but scared me for a minute.
  10. A tornado warning was issued for eastern Montgomery County. Just got downpours here.
  11. 8 tornadoes now confirmed in PA/NJ: https://6abc.com/pa-tornado-pennsylvania-weather-today-nj-wx/10921294/ Anyone remember a day where tornadoes in the region were that numerous? I know during Sandy there were a lot of reports but I forget how many.
  12. Thanks for the Limerick footage. Hard to believe it looks so long ago. Time flies indeed. I lived in the Collegeville area at the time and we got pretty severe weather but I was surprised to hear the tornado news in the morning. Usually in Royersford I avoid the worst storms. You are right - it didn’t miss the nuclear plant by much!
  13. I can see a heat wave, but boy the GFS has gone overly bonkers multiple times this summer.
  14. That EF-3 is one of the biggest in the area since the Limerick tornado back in the 90s. The Limerick one was a high F3. I am not sure if that would be adjusted to a EF-4 today.
  15. Boy I was lucky here. Just heavy train. Sometimes it seems we are living in the Midwest anymore..
  16. Thank you. I will be keeping track of what is happening with the weather tomorrow.
