  1. Yea you are so close to it man, literally probly miles lol. Disgusting to be honest when you can see it that close on radar haha
  2. Awesome congrats again JoMo!! WWA here until 3pm but sounds to stay off to the north in the far nw corner again lol. Kinda confusing forecast MoWeatherGuy anything? Looks like rogers and northbound again man by looking at the radar, jeeesh cant win
  3. Same notta thing here but the rogue snow flurry. That was a bust advisory for this area anyhow. Well darn I guess the cutoff line was directly north of you then in rogers, insane lol!!! Usually I noticed here man(maybe you have also)the cutoff is 412 and north haha. Always a fine line it seems everywhere I have lived. Crazy how mother nature is huh.
  4. Cool congrats! Have an advisory here until 2 but it never did anything lol, saw a few rogue flurries early this morning but nothing else. They were saying up to an inch but I think it did wind up staying right up along the border of Arkansas and Missouri who knows. Scratch that saw pics from rogers and they got what looked like a half inch, whatever. Maybe the cutoff line was just north of here lol, how about you MoWeatherguy? Anything up in your area?
  5. Looks like it will stay in the far northwest corner here tonight for the stuff after midnight to dawn. Monday says rain maybe snow here who knows, if anything I'm sure it will be tiny small half inch amounts as usual lol. Either too far south or not far enough south/north
  6. Fluke model runs? Tulsa went from saying cold week with multiple light snow chances to now saying warmer and rain chances on monday and a balmy return by thursday? WTH sighhhhh
  7. Yea no doubt it is much colder this season compared to recent ones! I have been enjoying some cold weather hiking on trails, just wanna see one decent snow storm now.
  8. WWA here, I thought it was gonna bust looking at the radar but its been freezing rain(fairly good clip too) for about 40 minutes now at 24 degrees! Forecast is all over the place with timings etc lol. Advisory is good until 9pm then light snow is mentioned between 7-11, all over the place haha. Snow anywhere else tonight guys? Its been light snow all night here since about 9:30 or so, it's so windy though it's just whippin all over the place so no real accumulation. Nice to see though, just wish we could cash in on a big storm!!
  9. I know one of them was showing something for mid to late week a few days back? I cannot remember what one though, I have a hard time understanding the models though always have. I love this hobby but model running for me is hard to comprehend with a short term memory.
  10. Never ceases to amaze me out here how fast the temp can drop! 11 degrees now within 15 minutes, insane...still going down down down 1 hour later from 64 degrees to 35!!! Nuts lol, still dropping too Shame it looks to be fairly cold for the next 9 days or so but so dry again such a waste.
  11. Is crazy man, I have the windows open right now cause its nearly 62 here lol. Will not be the case come later this afternoon though
  12. Is crazy isnt it, 3yrs now!! Tulsa says light rain over to light zr thursday sometime then over to snow/sleet mix...guess what the totals say, you guessed it another stinker of a half an inch lol. What is with these 1/2" storms man wth haha. I dont even know what to think anymore, guess it just is what it is ya know.
  13. Some pretty nasty freezing fog here tonight, was expected to happen after 3am but its already 29 out! Sidewalks, cars, grass are all frozen fogged over. Have seen this before in Missouri back in 2011-12 sometime and man it was dangerous but also really cool looking!! Never saw anything like it before until now(not as bad as before though). Be safe those of you driving in NW arkansas tonight and early am!! On a side note, I'm curious as to what happens pm thursday into friday am...there is a mention of rain over to sleet/snow then all snow, hmmmmm
  14. Me too man, maybe another winter season with a half inch total lol? Guess we will see huh, for surely we cant go 3 seasons with that...or can we haha!!
  15. Yea man that place we rented in Missouri had 39 acres or so behind it not to mention we lived on a dead end road with one neighbor who was rarely home(truck driver). Was awesome having landlords that did not care if I camped, had lil bonfires etc in the woods back there. Me and my dog use to love going on overnight lil camps behind the place, just something you cannot replace ya know. It's funny though the jobs we had there for such a tiny lil town were really good paying ones compared to what we have here, lol now its barely getting by and scraping the bottom of the barrel to make ends meet...tis life though. But anyways I'm rambling, hopefully(like u stated above) we get something here this season like my dad got!!!
  16. In case anyone is interested, this is my dads place after the storm(south jersey). He is a bit further away from the coast than my mother is and she got more! He said he couldn't really tell how much they got there(guesses about 7-8") because it was extremely windy whipping everything around(was a cold mid 20's fluffy snow!). Im jelous lol
  17. Yea it seems anywhere lately over the last few years haven't really gotten much. We have relatives in KC so I will have to ask them when we talk again as I am curious, its been fairly dry winters up there too but not as bad as down here as far as I know. On a side note, my home state of south jersey just got nailed again by a noreaster! My mom said they got about 9-10" again! They were forecasted to have a drier winter, nope probly closing in on close to 2 feet now already so far for totals since november! Jersey has been having some awesome winters the past few years like I remember growing up as a kid in!
  18. Yea man I really miss MO myself to be honest. The taxes here are through the roof on general stuff compared to missouri. Rental costs are crazy high here too(because of the university I am sure). I just miss the country life to be honest and the weather was much cooler/snowier up that way. Everything is a rush rush feeling here as well, just not my cup of tea lol. I miss the relaxed slowed down pace of life and cheaper living we had. Don't get me wrong living in a city has its benefits but for me I'll take my old peaceful country lifestyle anyday haha. It's funny though our old landlords still keep in touch(not something you see often) and are always asking us to come back.
  19. This is so very true, this would be the third winter with about a half inch total for the season...no kidding. Such a waste of nice cold air we had for a bit there, blowtorch incoming lol. The last time I saw over a 2" snowstorm IMBY here was 2015. The biggest storm I have seen here was what 2013 when we first moved here from MO and that was a nice decent winter for this area, the one storm put down 5-7". Just too far south now my friend
  20. Glaze of ice on everything here now, the roads are horrible just a sheet of ice! I don't think I ever seen freezing drizzle like this at 20 degrees, crazy!
  21. Yep just seen that, its very very fine but it doesn't take much with temps being this low! The back roads here are already slick in a lot of areas.
  22. Misty freezing drizzle for a while here now, no mention of it at all. I think tulsa did earlier but nothing as of lately. Car was iced over after coming out the grocery store tonight.
  23. Shame we couldn't get a massive storm with all this cold air, what a waste
  24. These models are doing extremely bad this season or lost in confusion lol, the temperature grids have been all over the place it seems. Was supposed to be 40 here today now NWS saying nope only 34. I see all the light snow/mix for thursday am and the weekend are gone now too but that will probly change as well. Seems like nothing is right until 4-8 hours before something happens lol.
