  1. Having a violent coughing fit as soon as you take your first sip of coffee is a shit way to start the day. RIP curtains....
  2. If the cloud motions are indicative of where the front/storms will be focused, I would definitely include DC metro in the flood watch.
  3. Jessup, I need to update my locale.
  4. Getting some filtered sun now that I wasnt expecting ahead of this line
  5. Nothing like hunting down the chirping smoke detector only to find you have no 9-volts to cut down on the friday boredom. Also, it's raining.
  6. My boss and I (granted, neither of us are "forecasters" anymore) have been going back and forth as to where the wind WWA's are? seems like a ridiculous gradient and 50+ gusts are almost a slam dunk. Doesn't look to have a rocket of a LLJ for the real high stuff but would expect advisories out <24hrs out.
  7. I don't know, their Sunday forecasts in particular have been crap since about July sometime....
  8. It's starting to pick up more dry air intrusion on mid-levels and drying out the precip. Still a nasty ice storm locally, (freezing drizzle accumulates faster that FZRA+) but the heavy stuff is moving up the 95 corridor.
  9. They rarely dissapoint, and manor hill is right down the road. Easy to make use of an afternoon/evening
  10. I have joined @scraff if he is still here...
  11. Been snow-globing for a bit now. Nothing surviving on the surface but my deck table is enjoying a light coating.
  12. Nice, I have to drop my car off in clarksville and my ice skating plans got kicked, so I may stop off. Though I may have to wait until tomorrow so I can get some of that Peanut Butter stout...
  13. Some snizzle now with the occasional larger flake
  14. Im in Hanover and don't see anything. BWI TDWR doesn't show that band either. 33/26 currently so maybe just a touch dry
  15. Yes on the beer, but I believe I've already got a date with the merriweather ice rink tomorrow evening. Still interested in the location of said hill though, good sleddin' hills are in short supply 'round here.
  16. 3.6" for BWI on this morning's NBM run, if you're into that sort of thing. KDCA - 3.5" KIAD - 2.7"
  17. Spent about an hour and a half out with the kids. Rather brutal with the wind. Multiple measurements of 5-7" though lots and lots of drifting. probably another .5 to an inch on that by now but the back end is closing in quickly.
  18. The last row of townhomes you can barely see there is 0.19 miles away according to google maps.
