    ^^ This August was considerably more comfortable than last August... A 3° difference is considerable in summer.

    Yeah a pretty average June and August, and a hot humid July....Summer will finish about +1° departure because of July's heat.

    Yes agree...My station had normal Temps in June and Aug will be close to normal...July of course was hot, no doubt. But as you mentioned the high dew points on several occasions stand out. Weather station looking good Tom!

    About 20° cooler today( Fri) with high temp of 73°.

    Cold front thru, down to 64°....First time below 70 in a week.

    Mostly missed my station to the north, just 0.02"....I couple miles further ne, heavy rain 0.80" and strong winds.

    Finally got another 90° here after many 89's...Could tack on a bit more but lots of cu now.

    Had a quick 0.36" with that cell... Nice shelf cloud preceding. Made it to 89 degrees for the high...Down to 76 after the rain.

    Just seems the meso's have really had a problem this summer with the numerous convection threats we've had...rarely agreeing on timing, coverage....and more often than not, underestimating coverage.

    Models still don't look too enthused about any widespread shower, t storm activity next couple of days prior to cold frontal passage....kinda surprised with all the heat and humidity this week.

    Yeah finally hit 90° this month with a 92° high...83° now ...heard thunder as storms developed to my se but no rain.

    Month has not been bad at all so far concerning heat...No 90° readings here yet and my station is running a negative temp departure thru today.
