    Cooler air moving in now...checked radar awhile ago...was nothing nearby to me, was surprised to see it raining now with 0.16" in the bucket.

    Irene gave my station 9" of rain during a 30 day period when 25" fell.

    Hit 88° here today...1983 on this date was 99°.

    One specific storm I remember from a young age was tropical storm Doria in 1971...I remember the flooding on the side of our house where my rain gage was...So I've been at this weather observing thing for a long time.

    Hi temp today 66°.. Rain 0.66".. Current temp. 60°.

    This band of rain may be smaller than what the euro had been showing....but for us under it, it delivered what was forecast.

    12z euro looks to have a PRE type rainfall ahead of Dorian, for our area for end of week...Don't see it on any other guidance however.

    September's and October's have been mild recently, last November however was cold with some stations setting monthly record cold temps...was 13° at my station.

    That lonely shower on radar managed to find me with a quick 0.24" for a daily total of 1.01".

    Another nice storm here in northern si with heavy rain and thunder and lightning and some wind...picked up another 0.60" with 1.39" for the day....A little to the sw at my station mostly missed it with 0.71" total for day.

    My departure here wound up at -0.2° for the month...Rainfall of 3.98" was slightly below normal (Normal is 4.10")It was only my 2nd below normal precipitation month over the previous 19. Again had over 70" over the past 12 months. Summer stats showed about a +1° departure with 18, 90+° days.

    Anyone else been having a problem with the "Tropical Tidbits" site with images not loading properly...been doing it for a few days, don't think its traffic related. Or is it just me?
