    Might be time to declare a state of emergency for Alaska. They are looking to get buried with feet of snow and temps -15 -20 degrees Celsius below normal. Good times ahead for them!

    With an active STJ, and a closed low in eastern Canada, combined with a -nao I'll take my chances. Maybe nothing comes of this period but its definitely increasing our chances of "scoring "!
