Just started in Columbia. Radar was lying for almost 20 minutes.

You can tell the coldfront takes longer to get offshore and the firehouse pushes further north. Kind of what I was hoping for a juicier more prolonged frontend.

Nam has 12" for DC and Baltimore. Perfect run for most of us.

Starange how the 500mb lows phase at hr 132, but the maximum deepening rate of the surface isn't until hr 150. Usually those are closer together

The nam always finds a way to make up for the further south track. It will never let us down. Until the day of the event of course.

Maybe LWX just going 6-8" for the entire region was the right call, they kept it simple.

I70 gets dryslotted a bit this run. More snow near the MD line and over the DC metro.

This is not the type of setup that usually trends south. Almost never happens with a major system coming out of the MS Valley.

UKmet looks pretty similar to 12z everywhere. Just noise.

Some pretty weak rates up north. Most of the action is with the initial thump further south near the sleet line.

That 15" bullseye over Chester VA and the southern portion of the Del Marva seems a bit too suppressed. It never works out for that area.

GFS is becoming a bigger outlier every run.

Gfs caved in with the jet in the pac nw. It's flatter at hr 27 compared to 12z. Should mean less amplification downstream.

People need to realize you can mix and still get the jackpot. The January 2011 storm had about 6hrs of sleet in areas that got over 10". It might be the case with this storm as well due to the strong confluence zone and trailing ULL.
