  10. 9-11. If you do not mind getting a little bit damp, you can get some nice spot-lit clouds when the system times out right. Looking southwest at the yellows. Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm... Looking northwest at a splash of orange. Taken with the 24-70mm at 57mm...
  11. I bet the chickens approve of this short-term forecast also.
  12. 9-5 had a strong red flash looking to the south. Taken with the 16-35mm at 16mm...
  13. 9-4 had a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Mid-day cloud field at the county jail. Taken with the 24-70mm at 24mm... Close to sunset there was a rainbow arc with some blue sky. Taken with the 16-35mm at 19mm...
  14. What is this wet stuff falling from the sky? So far, 1.10" in the tippy bucket. I am sure one of the stat geeks can tell how long it has been but I only know it has been quite a long while since the last inch plus event here. Good to settle the bean and corn dust.
  15. KIND was 78'd yesterday and 79'd today. Could I order some of this for November also?
  16. 9-1 had some cirrus around for the sunset. It was kind of thick on the horizon. Taken with the 24-70mm at 44mm... As I was heading back to the car, had a brief and very diffuse red flash. Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm...
  17. I agree with your chickens. That is too much for October. Glad to see you are still around though.
  18. Rain got as close as the county line, then bent around to the north for another swing and a miss. Still spitting bean dust here. Maybe tomorrow?

  20. 8-29 had a hole around some storm clouds close to sunset. Looking northwest at some distance cumulus. Taken with the 24-70mm at 45mm... Looking north at the cirrus filling the hole. Taken with the 24-70mm at 24mm...
  21. Some day we are going to have to pay for all these fantastic days, one right after the other.
  22. Sometimes weather makes no sense. KIND at 3:40 this afternoon reported light rain and put up a trace in the precipitation column. Now I am around 30 miles northwest but I was out and around five miles west of home at 3:41 and I took this image. As you can see it was CAVU where I was and no cloud in the sky. I guess the old adage of location, location, location is true.
  23. As you can see, not a cloud in the sky. The mist from the fountain interacted with the sunlight to form a color skirt for the fountain. Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm...
  24. 8-28 had plenty of clouds and as quite humid if I remember correctly. Some mid afternoon cumulus looking southeast. Taken with the 24-70mm at 53mm... The sunset clouds looking to the south. Took the GND and a lot of feathering to balance it out again. Taken with the 16-35mm at 19mm...
