0.21" in the tippy bucket. It is good to see some moisture but I would hardly call it wet.

Geez, sounds like everyone got wet but me. KIND had a whopping 0.02". Nothing in my tippy bucket.

Color is spotty on the walking/biking path here. Leaf drop is commencing as it is getting thin, and more and more Sun is shining through this weekend here.

I don't know. Looks like a perfect image to me. Shows the brown in exquisite form and sharpness with some color in the background for even more contrast. It tells the story you are telling in a very clear manner.

I do not care for the smell of dust being burned off the heat exchanger when I click the furnace on for the first time of the season. Then there is that whole I can't keep warm because I have no natural insulation on my body. The hazards of being terminally skinny.

Did you bring your wife so you can have that all important spot report from another balcony?

Sunny, clear, sunny, clear, sunny, clear, sunny, clear, sunny. The point forecast is repeatable and consistent. Only the temps vary, and not that much either, Nice Autumn so far.

9-3 also had an interesting sunset. I was behind the viewfinder pre-sunrise to post sunset. Long day! The dirty yellows. Taken with the 24-70mm at 39mm... The deep orange. Taken with the 24-70mm at 39mm... The dirty reds. Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm...

9-3 had a nice sunrise also. The reds. taken with the 24-70mm at 39mm... The yellows. Taken with the 24-70mm at 39mm...

8-30 had a nice sunrise. Pre-sunrise looking east. Taken with the 24-70mm at 31mm... Pre-sunrise looking north. Taken with the 24-70mm at 24mm...

8-24 was a good example to stay for the last erg of color. Sunset was rather underwhelming. Taken with the 24-70mm at 24mm... But if I waited for the last dregs, and I did, sometimes it can be worth it. Taken with the 24-70mm at 47mm...

8-20 has plenty of cirrus and high clouds to shoot. Started off with a nice sundog (parhelia) on the south side of the Sun. Taken with the 24-70mm at 50mm... Looking south right around sunset. Taken with the 16-35mm at 18mm... Looking west at sunset. Taken with the 16-35mm at 21mm...

Only one shot from 8-14. I like the different colors with the different cloud heights. Taken with the 24-70mm at 50mm...
-
8-13 was a minimalist kind of night. Starting off with the sunset. Taken with the 24-70mm at 24mm... The post sunset starts with some smoke on the far horizon. Taken with the 24-70mm at 59mm... The diffuse red. Taken with the 24-70mm at 50mm...

I do not know where to put this, so I am going with here. With all the rain last night there was some wind. They did have a high wind warning out so this was not unexpected but I do not know if this qualifies as severe. I saw that at KIND there was a couple of wind speeds/gusts at 44/60mph. Now here in town we are thirty odd miles northwest of KIND so it might have been below that but there was some damage here in downtown Lebanon. One of the old buildings on the square lost a quantity of bricks. You can see here that the upper two or three feet above the roofline fell back unto the roof. That levered some of the facia bricks away from the building and they came crashing down causing a slight mess. The liquor store lost its sign. I have no idea how those lights did not get knocked off. Maybe the sign shield them just long enough. THey had already taken away the sign before I got there with the camera.

In the first solid rain event in a couple of months, I have 1.52" in the tippy bucket this morning. Matches well with the radar estimates. There was a stripe of a firehose over the area and I was in it. These tropical remnants always seem to deliver. Looks like there is another slug of shower that are going to rotate through here in a little bit.

KIND is along that same number. IMBY only 0.02". Not quite killing it but at least things are very temporarily damp.

KIND was 89'd yesterday. Today we made it to 91.

Good call and verification.

Indiana was doing well until this last week. Just getting started here.

8-11 was one of those perfect conditions' evenings. Started off pre-sunset with Indiana doing it's Big Sky imitation. Taken with the 24-70mm at 25mm... The actual sunset. Taken with the 16-35mm at 20mm... The post sunset color. Taken with the 24-70mm at 50mm... Good night my darl'in, wherever you are...
