  1. Transitioning now to a better snow.
  2. No need to leave the board. Just focus on your enjoyment with tracking, model analysis and observations. Too many good posters leave. Try not to take it personal.
  3. Sure a north tick or 2 is possible but this system is nothing like the others. This can go further south just as likely as bumping north. Set up is entirely different from the storms that came north in the last 24 hours.
  4. So the breakdown of the next 8 days. Wave 1 wednesday p.m. until thursday midday. Then intermittently light stuff. Wave 2 or continuation of wave 1 however you prefer overnight Thursday into Friday midday. Then potential coastal late Saturday into Sunday followed by cold blast. Then look for another coastal Tuesday followed by more cold.
  5. Really a cold looking snow Friday morning. Man look at that airmass over northern Minnesota at 126.
  6. Wow, impressive storm here. Basically 2 inches an hour from start to finish. Today could've been a mini version of it if we were a touch cooler or the snow fell at night.
  7. Not sure about up here but I got 12 inches with that one. At the time I lived 1 mile north of beltway exit 20 on the Pikesville/Owings Mills line. Started snowing just after dark and was done before sunrise. I think it was a Sunday.
  8. Not to the extent of the GFS but Euro now on board for a frigid day or two by our standards.
  9. This has a real chance at being the 2nd 48 hour plus event within 2 weeks of each other. That would be amazing.
  10. I know it's still a ways out but this sure looks like a situation where the low level cold is impossible to scour out.
  11. 1038 high. Looks good. Going to be tough to get temps to budge. GFS picking up on this too is a great sign.
  12. Still snowing decently but not accumulating as its compacting faster. Reached 5 inches then a lull which it compacted to 4.5. After that had some really good rates and measured 5.5. Now it's back to 4.5 -5.0 depending where I measure. I'll go with 5.5 although we probably got over 6. This may have been 7-8 if it was a couple degrees colder or fell mostly at night. There was never 1 global that gave my area over .5 QPF. on any run leading up to the event. Nice surprise.
  13. Solid 4 here. Should make for quite the chilly night. Single digits?
  14. Intensity picking up. Getting quite heavy.
  15. Made it into the low 40's today but still have full snowcover. I'll go 3-4 for northern crew. Equal chances to bust high or low. Temps. around 30 and the height. Hopefully when it ends we don't shoot up to 42 with full sunshine.
  16. No elevation there. Parts of the city are much better in that regard.
  17. What a pattern. So much to track. I still think anything is on the table. Can we finally get a below average winter month for temperatures?
