    I lived in Wilson from 2000 until 2014 and I have to tell you...that was an amazing stretch. 6 plus inches from one storm was the norm. It just wanted to snow. we had at least six 8 to 12 inch snows. That is why what is happening now is so sad. I give this winter a D even for southern wake co. What heppend to the snows of old??? That period spoiled me! I95 was hot!

    That ice map looks wrong. If you go based off power outage reports...Craven, Jones to Duplin had the most reports. Wilson co where is shows that insane amount was mostly sleet and snow.

    Snowing solidly here for the past 30 minutes...I shoveled the driveway just for the fun of it(I know it would melt tomorrow quick) it's already covering again. Lol

    I don't understand how u are getting freezing rain? Can someone explain this? West of the mountains got snow...east got snow. What am I missing?

    I see people from the Charlotte area post all the time. I think you are not seeing many of them today because they got the screw job...so far!

    Red echoes on radar...snow rates at this moment are insane! An inch in like 30 minutes!! I should change my name. Lol

    It is snowing like crazy now north side of fuquay...it's hvy snow and still mixed with sleet which is crazy!

    Ripping mostly snow and sleet in fuquay. The atmosphere is fighting hard!

    There is literally no way to give yall the current observations in F-V. When the rates lighten up...all sleet...once they pick up...huge flakes mixed with sleet (current scenario). Been bouncing back and forth for hours! Lol...maybe half inch of snow/sleet. Roads are clear for most part.

    That is weird. It's 26 is southern wake co. Why is it so much warmer in the foothills and mountains?

    Well...mixed with sleet in Fuquay Varina. 27 degrees...two hours of snow and only got a dusting. Sucks.

    No sleet in Fuquay Varina yet. I fear by the time the heavier rates get here it will be sleet. Been snowing for over 2 hours and only sticking on the roof.

    Not good if u r getting sleet in Smithfield already. Bad news for Wake Co. What is new? 2 hours of wasted snow in Fuquay...just hardly a dusting.

    So all I see is snow maps. Are they including that with sleet? I am wondering what the snow/sleet totals could be for southeast wake?
