  1. Can confirm that Kingsport got at least an inch in some spots. Bays Mountain looked like a war zone with wrecks. I had a slight dusting at my house and then nothing between my house and the state line.
  2. I was just looking at that model. I had forgotten about it. Here is the Hr 60 panel.
  3. Hopefully preparing us some brand new memes
  4. That is my worry that the shortwave is trending to be too flat and will miss us to the south. The trend is to have the northern vort not dig as much. The morning runs of the NAM, Canadians, ICON, GFS is where we want to keep the system. No mixing issues for the most part and a widespread snowfall. I remember last year’s January snowfall event windshield wipered during this timeframe with misses to the south and even to the north. Hopefully this storm will settle in for us like that one did
  5. 1.5 inches here. The rates were beautiful for about an hour. I which I could have posted a video.
  6. Sleet is gone and huge flakes are coming down now.
  7. Heavy returns overhead but sleet is mixing in
  8. This pic was about 30 minutes ago. Untreated roads were getting dicey. Snow continues and the flake size is getting larger. Maybe about half an inch right now.
  9. I was going to post something similar. They are completely different.
  10. Ground starting to get white in Jonesborough.
  11. The wind direction didn’t seem to be consistent either. One moment I was blown to the right. Next I was getting blown to the left.
  12. 18z ICON has a totally different solution and has the 500mb low spinning/wandering off the California coast at hour 100. Completely cut it off.
  13. I thought that 2nd wave was going to phase into a bomb but just missed.
  14. There is a trend on the GFS and CMC of dropping the energy further southwest into the California coast. I’m not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
  15. That was certainly the craziest run I have ever saw in my time on these forums. You had flakes flying from Louisiana to Pennsylvania at the 252 timestamp. Huge precip shield. I agree with Carvers though that the trough in the west was too sharp and probably held back energy somewhat. That might be totally gone on the next run at 0z.
  16. Had an inch at my house. Confirmed Carvers obs in Kingsport. Had close to 2” on the work van in Sullivan Gardens.
  17. Nice return overhead as well with some light snow and big flakes
  18. Few flakes flying around here as well
  19. I measured 1.5 inches on my deck yesterday morning at 7 am. Some winters we don’t even get 1.5 inches for the whole season!
  20. 32 degrees here now and a slight dusting. On the board for winter!
  21. My 100 year old Oak tree completely uprooted today. Unfortunately it went on the neighbors house. Thankfully they are okay.
