  1. We’ve made it halfway between ski seasons. Snowmaking should start in about 75 days. Time to think about all the fun we have to look forward on the slopes this winter!
  2. Killington still going strong
  3. It’s not a publicity ploy for those who ski it. Killington sells a lot of spring passes. The Umbrella bar is rocking with live music etc. in May. They go to Friday-Sunday and a hard core crew of bump skiers ski it every day they are open until they close.
  4. Killington is trying for June and I would not be surprised to be skiing june 1st at all there. Superstar is as big as I’ve ever seen it.
  5. Skied a beautiful sunshine afternoon on soft bumps under the guns at killington Friday. Then skied in heavy wind driven Noreaster snow Saturday morning. Unfortunately a power line blew Saturday afternoon and so the mountain is on hold this morning until the repair is complete.
  6. Funny you should ask. I have to skip opening weekend to visit my brother in Philadelphia. My day 1 will be 10/26.
  7. The first half of March 2018 was unreal. Powder day after powder day. I skied steep tree chutes that dropped like slow elevators. We had one afternoon from 2-4pm where it snowed so hard that every run our tracks were completely covered while skiing in the thick woods. I’ve only seen conditions that good once or twice even though I’ve skied 50-100 days a year for the past 30 years.
  8. It’s August 1st. Time to start thinking about next season.
  9. We just got back from skiing Killington all day. We got into a band of snow at about 2:30-3:30 that had to be falling at 3+" per hour. I. My life I've only seen it pour snow like that a few times.
