    the gfs shows the problem with a -pna. this wave goes south of us but is too weak and we get light rain. the next wave amplifies and cuts too far west

    if it's not a slam dunk KU pattern who cares. we've seen so many big events

    those chances can easily wind up as cutters with that western trough

    not when it's a full latitude trough down to san diego

    that still shows a western trough which is going to be a buzzkill imo
