Half of those models have been wrong thusfar. The center of Helene will go through Metro Atlanta and bend back west near Chattanooga going into Tennessee.
-
For sure here! We need to inform others about these quick spin-up tornadoes
-
That thing's center isn't moving that far east towards Anderson. The model bias is way off. The center of it is going through Metro Atlanta.

https://www.wbtv.com/2024/09/26/watch-possible-tornado-spotted-charlotte/ I saw this funnel cloud with my own two eyes this morning during the tornado warnings issued for west central Mecklenburg County and Gaston County. We weren't forecasted to see much until later on today, but the interaction of the stalled frontal boundary and the outer bands of Helene are interacting already in Metro Charlotte.

I am planning on following the tornado and the high wind threats starting on Thursday in the Southeastern forum. This might be something to watch locally in that regional forum.

Hurricane Debby - flooding rain threat region wide
kayman replied to olafminesaw's topic in Southeastern States
Tropical-related Tornado Watch extended until 7AM due to the ongoing tornadic threats related to the remnants of Debby over Central and Eastern NC along with nearly all of VA, and DC. -
That could be slightly concerning as the system has yet to pass. It could still spin up isolated rotating thunderstorms in the eastern NC through tonight.
