Euro now close to warning criteria snow for the Triad and N&W areas of the triangle. The key seems to be some enhancement that comes through Louisiana and then through S MS/AL/GA that almost seems to slide south around the mountains.

The euro doesnt have much in the way of accumulations but it does swing through with heavy snow on 0z Wednesday, faster than the GFS.

The QPF is still there for the post frontal stuff, the timing just oscillated 6 hours faster.

The GFS has a high of 19 degrees for RDU next Thursday. The all time record low max is 17.

Next thursday might be the coldest day of the year.

Bufkit also shows a sfc temp on the 31st of 18 degrees at 18z.

Bufkit showed 3.8 for RDU. 13:1 ratios to start, increasing to 18:1.

Kuchera maps for the 6z GFS had 4-5" in the triangle.

The first one before that has a little snow but the surface is around 34 so it doesnt stick.

We have the ICON/EURO/GFS all agreeing on arctic front snow at day 7.

Looking at the individual euro panels from, it seems like you either get cold or you get a winter storm day 8ish. Silly to talk about ptypes but definitely ducks on the pond.
