Dewpoint has been consistently dropping at RDU this morning.

Good news is RDUs dewpoint has dropped 5 degrees since 3AM.

GFS has us at 100% overcast the entire night

It looks like we at least held the line this run if not pushed it a few dozen miles south this run. Hope it continues!

3K has basically the same map with a little less snow owing to less QPF(about .15 less). There is less snow down to Charlotte and in the foothills.

So this run was actually slightly colder in the upper levels and had better RH numbers in the DGZ.

I think it's gonna be like it usually is there. The minimum in Ballantyne, maximum at Davidson.

That is the 5th run in a row of the NAM with double digits for Durham on the Kuchera maps.

The HRRR, somehow, warms us up to near 50 degrees tomorrow despite 100% cloud cover.

Noted the 17z HRRR is a full five(!) degrees colder at the surface than the GFS at 11z tomorrow.

I havent really seen anyone talk winds. The NAM is showing sustained 20 gusts to 40 in SE Wake by 03z Friday. Gusts to tropical storm force over the sounds and lower banks as well.

The reason the GFS is so warm, as best I can tell, is it holds onto 100% cloud cover all night.

That's right where I want it. No one legitimately can convince me the opposite scenario would be the best.
