  1. There's too many maps to post but it's a beautiful storm. Verbatim, not a big event for north of say 40 but there's no reason that wouldnt fill in.
  2. If you draw a line from New Bern straight back to the tennessee line in Macon County within about 30 miles N or S of that line, thats the focus of this run. Almost a true M&M storm.
  3. Actually, Rockingham would be the best place in the state if this happened tomorrow. We'll see if the ensembles bite.
  4. Matt, you can correct me if I'm wrong but I swear I remember PDII happening in a very similar pattern.
  5. Massive winter storm on Day 8.5 euro. Snow for CLT/GSO/RDU with a transition zone around the SC border. Not quite the QPF you think you'd see but still almost .75 at CLT.
  6. Usually if the polar vortex is floating around southeastern canada, that is a colder pattern for us. It could also induce supression. Actually, that question came at a great time as DT explains the potential coming pattern well: https://twitter.com/wxrisksecs1/status/1349042151544532994?s=20
  7. Snow from AVL to ATL to BHM to MSY. That thing is gonna bury someone.
  8. Polar vortex floats about in Lower Canada from 240 onward.
  9. and the polar vortex is dropping into lower canada at 264. Just north of Lake Superior to be specific.
  10. Both GFS' have light snow across a lot of NC on Monday. Shouldnt be much but it's honest work.
  11. Saw some interest from the 6z GEFS for that event.
  12. GFS looked great around 144 tonight before the storm seemingly split in two.
  13. I know IT’S NEVER GOING TO SNOW AGAIN EVER EVER EVER but this is a solid look:
  14. Both the Canadian and the Para GFS have significant events day 8.
  15. Burlington was warmer than we got here yesterday by 3 degrees though.
  16. We’re still in our feelings about yesterday so I’m pretty sure the sky is falling and it’ll never snow again.
  17. I would be surprised if we don’t have another threat by Inauguration Day.
  18. Yeah, it is what it is. Can’t win them all.
  19. I actually think they are in a good spot
  20. The triangle has done quite well if you count back the last five years or so.
  21. Sometimes things just don’t break your way at all with these storms. If we had more QPF this morning, we would’ve had accumulation easily. I left with a coating of snow and sleet on my car today. Starting with 18z yesterday, there’s been a hole over Durham and Wake Counties on the short range modeling and seemingly they are accurate with that. We don’t have the lift here that they’ve seen west, south and probably east of us will see. it’s a good thing I considered anything from this event a bonus.
