  1. One thing I noticed on this run of the GFS is it has cooled off by nearly ten degrees tomorrow afternoon.
  2. That would be some limb cracking paste if it happened.
  3. GFS shows a ton of frontogenesis in the upper right quadrant of the low(from GSO to east of RDU). A LOT of lift.
  4. Fv16 has warning criteria snow too, just a smidge less than the old GFS.
  5. The GFS just smoked the triad and triangle.
  6. I certainly hope you're right and I'm wrong.
  7. but with the SLP so far west, I just cant see it being a big deal. If it was coming up through Huntsville and Knoxville then maybe.
  8. The euro is a much better look than the UKMET, I will say that. If the UKMET verified with those maps, there's no way thats anything meaningful.
  9. That's what the evolution looked like on F5wx.
  10. The UKMET looks like it would be about 8 snow flakes, 16 ice pellets and then rain for 95% of the states population.
  11. It just oriented the precip differently. The HRRR is pretty enthusiastic about our chances even though it's at the end of its range.
  12. Downtown Burlington? 8”! The academy sports on the west side? Nothing!
  13. Looks like the 3k has up to 2” for a significant chunk of Orange and Durham.
  14. It’s gonna be funny when Duck or Corolla is the jackpot
  15. The 3k NAM has 42 degrees for Durham 18z Wednesday. The GFS has us at 58.
  16. Well, looks like it's down to the canadian and the new GFS. Been a long time since we've had a surprise event.
  17. The euro would imply we get at least a little something even if it is just mood flakes driving to work Thursday. The interesting thing about the GFSv16 is it's 10 degrees colder on Wednesday than the current GFS and closely matches the Euro. We'll see if it's right.
  18. Last year was as awful as could be and we still had that late February event so you’re definitely right.
  19. NAM is by far the coldest model at the surface
  20. Honestly, this is sort of an opposite land scenario where N Orange and N Durham might fare better than Guilford and Alamance. We’ll see, I’m just glad to still be in the game.
