  1. I haven't dove much into this setup but does anyone now main reason qpf has been lowering? Seems like system may be quicker now. For what's it worth 03z rap looks decent. Lol
  2. Drier and se trend not being denied again. It's better than nam but not by a lot. Although 0z gfs didn't really come se. Just drier. Curious if this trend continues or if we see it level out or increase again.
  3. Kind of have a feeling they will. Congrats to Iowa folks if this verifies. Man I just want one storm to pan out here. Is that asking for too much? Apparently so.
  4. Well RGEM followed nam so yeah. Definitely doesn't have me feeling good.
  5. Would be fitting for this winter. Thought we were finally going to catch a break. Apparently not. Watches will be getting downgraded to advisories if this continues.
  6. It's definitely odd but guess we will see what rest of 0z shows I usually don't put much stock in 18z runs because no new data is input into model
  7. Well I hope this isn't a start of a trend of weaker and drier but would fit trends for this winter. How depressing. This looked solid for days. What's odd is both nams and hrrr show hrs of accumulating snow but just doesn't seem to put out much snowfall.
  8. I noticed that. It's drier one run then wetter the next. Hoping for at least 6in. My biggest snow this year has been 1.3in. Hoping we won't start seeing qpf downfall now.
  9. Our area definitely can not catch a break this year
  10. 0z euro also weaker. Here comes the downfall. I swear if this ends up south I'm going to rip all my hair out.
  11. 0z gfs weaker than 18z gfs
  12. Would be par for the course to get missed north after misses south all winter. Hoping I can get something out of this active pattern.
  13. 18z euro would make you happy. But I'm not believing anything because south trend hasn't been denied this winter. Gfs is more subdued but still has accumulating snow for a lot of us.
  14. We need a good snowstorm before there's an uprising in here
  15. Same here. Absolutely boring. Either been cold and dry or mild and wet. I can't remember a winter ever with such little snow.
  16. 0z gfs miss after miss after miss south. Man I hope we can cash in on this active pattern. Been the least snowiest winter I can remember.
  17. Same. Pathetic. Lol. Wish gfs could be right on this one but euro seems more realistic.
  18. Euro keeps the next one south but gfs is more spread the wealth. Given how gfs just performed poorly with current system I'm skeptical.
  19. Because us in the northern parts of the subforum didn't get squat. North of I74 was basically nothing. Wasn't really a winter storm for us
  20. I didn't even get an inch. Our RH was in low 70s even after snow started. Dry air really won out here. Kept getting in subsidence bands as well. Cutoff was brutal as advertised. And next one looks to miss as well. Not our winter up here.
  21. Been stuck in a subsidence band a while. Probably not going to get any meaningful rates till band pivots back around. What a disappointing winter storm.
  22. Just started snowing in Peoria! Small flakes but coming down good.
  23. Not looking to snow here till tonight now. 1-2in is probably being optimistic.
  24. Dry air very much winning here. Going to take a long time to saturate. Hrrr showing little to no snow now. Rap/gfs still show some.
  25. Yeah it's the dry ne fetch around periphery of arctic high. Eating into the snow. The precip is going into saturating the column instead of falling to ground. The more north you are the drier the air and harder/longer it will be to precipitate.
