Up to 1.94" from morning downpours. Still a shot at another round later today/this evening.

Flash drought cancel. At least for most of the DVN cwa. Picked up 1.49" so far, with quite a bit still on the way it appears as the LLJ will continue to fire stuff this morning, and then another round later this afternoon.

MLI underachieved today with a lowly 89. Hit 91 here.

92 today both here and at MLI. Doesn't feel too bad though with 60s dews.

Severe warned cell died right before getting here but some nice thunder and light show. Got a few 40mph gusts and have cooled down considerably. Only gonna end up with a few hundreths of rain though.

98 for a high at MLI today, but heat indices approached 110. Dews have been in the 72-74 range all day. Hit 97 here.

St. Cloud MN still 91 at the midnight ob. No rest for the ACs up there tonight.

Still 92 at MSP and St Cloud as of 10pm. At least the 30mph winds may be providing some relief lol.

MLI has had 11 AOA 90 degree days so far, 9 here. Here/DVN/MLI all have 97 as the hottest so far.

Heat kind of wussy in the DVN cwa, with most areas in the 90-93 range. Tomorrow a little warmer, but will fail to hit 100 again. Yawn.

81/41 with 24% humidity here. Very refreshing after the 80 degree dew earlier this week.

MLI 89'd today unless they bumped higher after climo. Got warmer than expected.

Hit 91 here today, MLI made 94. Compared to the previous few days today only felt warmish.

Is Midway surrounded by even more concrete than ORD? They are usually warmer than ORD but they seem even more warmer than ORD than usual. Hmm

Picked up 0.03" this evening. Additional storms ended up firing up, but they all skirted us here.

Looks like tonight's Iowa sloppy seconds are even worse than I thought they'd be. They've really crapped the bed in the past half hour. Guess we'll try again maybe next week.

Yeah 97-98 is okay, but it's kind of like only getting 4-5" of snow when you wanted a warning criteria event lol.

Only 95 at MLI/DVN, 93 here today. A forgettable heat wave for this area.

Not in our sub, but the parade of sups along I-80 in Nebraska is quite impressive. Also a gigantic sup in western IA blowing out some very high winds this evening. Looks like it's gonna rake a nice long stretch through central IA in the next few hours.

And it's in the upper 70s in Rochelle and Dekalb.

Today really illustrates how impressive that heat wave was back in mid May. Today could only match what we achieved a whole month ago.

DVN had a low of 80 this morning, and MLI had a heat index of 90 at 3am.
