  1. Good chance for another 80+ today. That would make 3 in a row, which is very rare for this late in the year.
  2. MLI did in fact tie the record today with 84. Hit 81 here.
  3. Dews are higher today than yesterday so won't have quite the same overperformance. However, MLI's record of 84 looks to be in jeopardy. Will give it a good run nonetheless.
  4. Coat in the morning, shorts in the afternoon. MLI started the day at 35 with scattered frost, and made it to 81 this afternoon. Our low for Mon morning is forecast at 64 degrees. Our high last Monday was 42 degrees.
  5. Looks like you caught a ghoul hitchhiking in that pic lol
  6. Nice rebound from 25 early this morning to 65 this afternoon. Felt pretty warm after the cold stretch. MLI made it all the way to 70.
  7. A lot of leaves fell off the trees today with the very hard freeze. Several species of trees are now entirely bare. Oaks as per usual are behind the others, and still mostly green actually.
  8. Really bottomed out this morning, down to 20 degrees so far. A few lower teens up in northern IA.
  9. Eddie Van Halen crapped out too, so no Van Halen soundtrack.
  10. We got in on the action today and had a few periods of light snow. Didn't expect it this far west.
  11. No flakes anytime soon here but some more cold nights on the way. Possible lower 20s Tue and Wed.
  12. 26 here early this morning. This October has been about as exciting as watching C-SPAN.
  13. 0.15" this morning bringing the 2-day total up to 0.54".
  14. Nice little mini soaker today. Picked up just under 4 tenths.
  15. 28 here this morning. So long skeeters!
  16. May make the upper 20s here in the lowlands of the RR valley. I'm actually rooting for the freeze to help kill off the skeeters.
  17. Kind of unfortunate the lake effect event of the new season there occurs as rain lol.
  18. Coldest temp of the season so far this morning with 38. Should see a good frost tonight with temps even cooler.
  19. Interesting question, as I enjoy all types of them for what they are. If I had to choose one type I'd take a blizzard with high snowfall rates, with thunder of course lol. My 3 favorite blizzards of this type here were Dec '87, Jan '95, and GHD '11. Out of these if I were given a chance to relive one of them I'd take the Dec '87 one. 60+mph winds with the most thunder/lightning I've ever seen with a snowstorm easily. The ferocity of a high-end event like that is really top notch for a weather weenie.
  20. Already down to 39 in Waukesha WI just west of Milwaukee as of 1am. 46 here atm.
  21. Looks like we finish with 20 AOA 90 degree days for both here and at MLI. 4 days AOA 80 degree dewpoint here, and 3 days at MLI. Hottest temp of the year at MLI was 98 on 6/21, and here the hottest temp was 97 also on 6/21. Interestingly the hottest temp of the year at DVN came on May 12th with 97.
