  1. Went to the first few pages of this sub and did a little spot reading. Brings back a lot of memories seeing so many names that we don't see anymore. Also the model images from 12+ years ago kind of cool go see too.
  2. New Euro is now shifting the late week snows up towards MSP. Would guess the following storm will target southern/eastern MI.
  3. Kind of an interesting image here. If you look closely you can see sort of a U-shaped boundary between heavier snowpack and lower snowpack. I remember seeing a feature move south on radar yesterday, almost looked like an outflow boundary moving south against the northward moving precip at the time. It was the transition from rain to snow, where sort of a cold pool had made it down and had changed the precip over to all snow at the surface. Looks like it made it down to about where those arrows are.
  4. This is gonna be a good pick up the 10 million sticks that came down during the winter kind of weekend here. Looks like near 50 today and tomorrow, and well into the 60s on Monday.
  5. Nice cutoff there on the northwest side. Looks like Peoria just barely missed out.
  6. Euro back to trolling the poor souls of northern IL/southeast IA.
  7. Solid overcast out this way today. Winds got a little frisky in the afternoon, gusting to about 25mph. Top 10 event.
  8. The robins have arrived here. Quite a few of them bouncing around out in the yard today. Apparently they weren't buying into the NAM neither lol.
  9. The once mighty Euro is about as worthless as any of the other models now. Feel bad for mets who have to make professional forecasts using these incompetent tools.
  10. Finished with 3.83" of precip in Feb here. Pretty wet for Feb.
  11. That's one of the hawtest model images I've seen in recent years. Wow.
  12. This literally made me lol. Deep low in southern Indiana with cold rain to the north.
  13. The shift southeast began with the 00z, and continues with the 06z. Full whiff by 00z for northern IL most likely.
  14. Welcome to Spring! See you later you pos winter 22-23.
  15. I have mixed emotions. Kind of ready for spring but if we can get a dog then I'd be good with it. My piggy bank doesn't have any room for more nickel and dimes lol.
  16. Well, one thing's for certain, everyone is still in the game at this point.
  17. All of that variability makes me think this one will have surprises right up until the final 24hrs.
  18. First thunder here overnight as well. When it woke me up for a sec I thought it was a plow. How stupid of a thought eh? Up to 0.98" and climbing fast.
  19. Definitely some embedded supercell structures with that band of convection Sunday night/Monday morning from MO into IL. If we had some surface instability I'd be expecting some tor reports with that to be sure.
  20. That brings ORD up to nearly 18" for the season, but still down over a foot FTS.
