  1. Moderate snow here. No sleet mixed in for the first time today. Cold air is winning the battle in the Lehigh Valley right now.
  2. Basically it has no idea what it wants to do here. The precip type has changed 4 or 5 times in the past hour. Living life on the edge…literally.
  3. The verdict is in - it’s snowing again. Still mixed with some pingers though.
  4. Just pure sleet now in Allentown. The question now is, do we change back to snow or will the next precip type be rain?
  5. Dusting of snow on the ground in Allentown. Sleet is still mixing in but snow is the dominant precip type.
  6. Precip has started in Lower Macungie, just outside of Allentown. 90% sleet, 10% snow.
  7. Euro says no and brings us our annual Christmas Eve cutter. Every GD year…
  8. That’s a very promising signal around the 23rd-24th. The question is can we get just the right amount of blocking?
  9. Gotta love being literally right on the rain/snow line for this. Any 20 mile shift in either direction will change things a ton. Gonna be a really tough forecast for my page…
  10. Getting some flurries and graupel showers in the Lehigh Valley today.
  11. Just had a lightning flash and a big clap of thunder outside. Wasn’t expecting that.
  12. Some snow mixing in with the rain here in Bath in northern Northampton County. Not sticking to anything.
  13. Does anyone know when Mt. Holly is offering Skywarn classes again? Preferably an online class since I don't want to drive an hour and a half to the NWS office.
  14. Getting a graupel shower in the Lehigh Valley right now. Won’t be surprised if it’s the last wintry precip we see till late fall.
  15. 2 inches already on the deck at work. It’s really coming down hard. A little blustery too but not quite blizzard conditions.
  16. It is RIPPING in the Lehigh Valley right now. Visibility down to 1/10 mile on my drive to work.
  17. Rain changed to snow at around 7:30 near Allentown. Snowing pretty hard now with a coating on the ground. Radar looks juiced up!
  18. Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see some thundersnow in the heavy banding tomorrow. The HRRR is hinting at the possibility.
  19. Went with 3-6” for the Lehigh Valley on my page. I could see some spots up to 10” in the Poconos.
  20. 12z NAMs (both regular and 3km) are colder and bring more snow to Philly and I-95. Jackpot is in the Lehigh Valley and Poconos with 6-10”.
  21. 12z 3km NAM has some pretty big snows along I-78 and I-80.
