  1. Couldn't agree more. We're talking about an education here, that's one of the most important things for a young person. In addition, not many have the luxury of working from home daily so what are they to do with childcare? It's a damn tough spot all around the longer this drags on
  2. Serious question here. What the hell is going on in Michigan? How is it spiking so bad but only within its borders?
  3. This does not shock me at all. The amount of northern plates I've seen the last few weeks, especially on I-95 is noticeable. Lets be honest, this is a great time of year to vacation in the South and people with the means to in the North are taking full advantage. Wouldn't shock me at all to see surges in Virginia and Illinois as well shortly, seeing a lot of people from there lately as well. A pale family wearing all Cubs hats is a dead giveaway
  4. Can't have this in the United States. Our ancestors came to a place with arguably the most intense and varied weather in the world which is why a top notch weather service is absolutely required. The frequency of blizzards, tornadoes and hurricanes in the CONUS is pretty intense compared to most places. Just look at Toledo, you've got an average high of around freezing for DJF and an average of 36" of snow a year while having an average high of 85 in July. That is pretty extreme compared to most places, maybe most similar to Western Russia and parts of China
  5. I'll tell you guys what, that pool is for sure calling my name after work. Cannot beat this weather currently
  6. I was watching some sports highlights during the Tigers game. Are they really making HS athletes wear masks during games in Michigan? That is absolute pure insanity to mandate that. Lol I’m highly confident with my mild asthma I could not play basketball with a mask
  7. Bingo. I actually have to fly into Detroit here in a month for work. Looks like the days of my rear end sitting behind a computer only are coming to an end You should check the CVS site regularly, it’s how I got mine so quickly
  8. In all my life I never thought little ole Pioneer, OH would be in a discussion on here haha used to kayak all the time on Bird Lake just north of there. This isn’t that complicated folks, get your vaccine and live life without fear
  9. Chamber of Commerce Day here in Charleston. 75° with no clouds and a slight breeze. Dipping into the pool but too cold to stay in for awhile
  10. There’s more than one reason to be thankful we live in this great country
  11. I went to the last one against the Royals and it was absolutely miserable. Might have to watch them when they go to Tampa this year
  12. Mid 50s in Charleston is impressive for April. Next week or so looks unreal, nothing but sunshine and 75-80° after Saturday. They’re going to be awfully spoiled at Augusta
  13. I was thinking the same thing. The thunder sounded like a World War 2 bombardment or fireworks show, not a thunderstorm. Amazing to see
  14. Arm is sore as can be from vaccination. Still glad to have it
  15. I cannot stop laughing watching Tigers opening day. A little chilly (63) here with full sunshine, but haha I do not miss opening day's such as these in Detroit. Just pounding Bailey's and coffee in a parking lot just to not shiver for 3 and a half hours in Comerica.
  16. Watching Tigers/Indians now and cannot stop laughing. Looks like solid lake effect coming off Lake Huron
  17. Cell from earlier looking healthy again here in Summerville, SC.
  18. I see this more inline with TB than Covid. Many people forget that TB is very similar to Covid, just much slower acting. We don't live our lives in fear of tuberculosis anymore. Also as a side note here, there are some VERY strict laws with TB that I'm sure will be enacted for Covid going forward.
  19. Is something wrong in Michigan? We've got shots galore here & mine is scheduled for tomorrow at CVS
  20. That’s a big boy there in Texas right now
  21. Is that precip firing up on the inflow to the storm? It’s the second time today we’ve seen something like this where these small cells are being ingested by the parent supercell
  22. Been an interesting outbreak for sure in that it's been almost entirely strong/violent tornadoes. It's like the supercells themselves became so dominant that it affected the rest of the region. I'll be honest I can't recall an outbreak like this off the top of my head
  23. We have a modern day Tri State tornado at the moment. Unreal that this thing may make it to TN
