CTP wants zero to do with any preicp chance (after a change of showers tomorrow am) through the next 10 days it sounds like. Winter chances ticking away with a warm February upcoming.
Yeah I want to agree but will hold onto hope through February mid March unless I cancel winter for the 1000th tine.

Elliott's long range forecast released last night was not surprising but certainly discouraging - he sees a chance for a single event late next week that would have a ceiling of a few/several inches if everything worked out perfectly. After a couple of cold days next weekend, he's issuing a spring fever alert for much of February. Basically a full-blown torch for at least a few weeks.
Sitting at 3.3" for the season...
NYC has 0.0” snow so I guess we are lucky.

As several others have said, once we get past the potential Monday torch, a boundary sets up to our south and various waves are riding it. GFS has a wave at a similar time but it dampens it and is really not in play for us on this run but definitely a keep your eye on event. We cannot let @Itstrainingtimehave all the winter while he is gone.
Agreed after he bashed me yesterday with the Ji comments he can't have all the fun.

Cold air will be pressing. The timing of the waves will be important to our snow chances. If there is too much cold push, the precip will be suppressed. If not enough cold press, the waves will cut west. If we get lucky, maybe we can score a few events in early February.
Yeah think we have a shot next week.
