  1. Is there rotation in the cell southwest of Dennisport? I can't tell?
  2. Storms to my southwest are intensifying now. Signs of potential damaging winds and water spouts in these cells.
  3. Special Marine Weather Warning for the cell to my south, it extends into Nantucket Sound.
  4. okay thanks. Do you think I have a shot at something in the next few hours?
  5. Winds have been gusting near 30 mph the past hour or so, band of precipitation is still to my west. Sun was out. MLCAPE near 1000 j/kg. Chances are we should get a few hurricane gusts out here in the next few hours. Storms producing water spouts still south of the Vineyard. A particular cell south of the Mid Cape is intriguing. Anyone have the velocity on that cell?
  6. Hey WIZ, I wasn't going through the 12 pages I fell behind on, what happened with the TOR earlier?
  7. Nasty cells developing south of Long Island.
  8. Looks like Mesovortex on satellite imagery south of the eastern end of Long Island.
  9. Wouldn't be surprised if there aren't a few mesovorticies in the band that enhance the tornado potential
  10. wow almost eleven years. This is a better setup than the July 23rd 2019 tornado day?
  11. WIZ, when was the last time Cape Cod and both Islands mentioned in a TOR Watch?
  12. Yeah this is really serious. I am not talking the EF-0s that are common place nowadays in SNE, lol, but we could be talking stronger tornadoes. Shear is expected to be awfully strong.
  13. Northern portion of Isaias ' eyewall is now on land. Landfall is within the hour.
  14. There are reports of 100-knot flight level winds, multiple findings by the HHs in the eastern eye wall and now the NE quadrant they are finding similar readings. NC is in danger right now. the eastern circulation of Isaias is showing potential for rotating thunderstorms moving off the ocean from the southeast. Capable of bad damage. We need to be ready for those type of storms tomorrow afternoon. Especially if we can get sunshine.
  15. Wilmington, NC region needs to be on high alert, dangerous winds coming ashore and convection developing in that band.
  16. Tornado parameters are in place for a potential big storm to move through the Cape and Islands today and tonight. High CAPE over 3000j/kg, and shear over 40-knots and low level shear near 20 knots, tornado parameters over 2 EHI, and 2 for the Violent Tornado Parameter. Also a mesoscale low pressure was analyzed as of 400pm EDT in Cape Cod Bay of 1008mb. This will enhance storm relative helicity and shear in the area.
  17. Bahamas needs to be watched. System there has been producing persistent and consistent convection. There appears to be a strong mid-level low present. SSTs over 29.5C in the Bahamas, strong upper level anticyclonic flow producing strong northern (Poleward) outflow channel, wind shear less than 15 knots, less if the ULAC develops overhead. We need to see a surface center develop further, but chances are low if anything develops. It will head out to sea ahead of a trough.
  18. lol, I love tracking systems, but this seems out to sea due to the troughing over the Eastern USA
  19. Something is festering over the Bahamas, and I do not like it. That water is bath water. Shear is decreasing over the system. Convection has been sustained since DMAX. There is a circulation at least from 500mb to 850mb and developing further at 925 to 850mb.
  20. The last few days has brought some major swings in the overall five to ten day forecasts. A few days ago the ten day was quite wet and crappy, but with the latest data influencing the latest changes, an Omega Blocking pattern has brought a period of amazing weather conditions for the foreseeable future in Southern New England. Noticed greatly by a trough ridge trough pattern on an upper level map, an Omega block slows weather systems down and stalls them to the west, keeping any weather at home dry and clear. Let's enjoy the next ten days with sunshine and warmth as Summer is a month away.
  21. New draft underway, 65,000 words for the new draft is the goal.
  22. Damn, I mean if you like a party and a crime drama story in a part environment, this is your drama show. I mean its P-town lifestyle, so you get a context of what the show brings.
  23. Anyone hear of the new show on Starz? Hightown is the show, premieres today on Starz. The show stars Monica Raymund formerly of Chicago Fire. She is an awesome woman, and a talented as hell actress. She is the lead. This show takes place on Cape Cod during the drug enraged summer months of tourism season in P-town and she is hunting a serial killer.
