Still think nowcasting using radar and surface analysis is more useful in ironing out what’s the more likely outcome than using models. But point taken.

The storm is quite literally overhead. It’s a nowcast situation when you have several models showing different tracks and evolutions this close to an event. Radar, meso analysis, WV loop, surface analysis, etc… will tell us more than a model will at this point.

GFS is no doubt an outlier. Naturally, it’s the only model showing best case scenario for dc to Baltimore Hrrr was relatively dry ahead of monday’s storm too if I remember correctly

Watching the radar weaken a bit as precip crosses over the mountains in E TN is as predictable as the end of an adult film. Shouldn’t worry folks around here much unless that trend continues as it goes further east.
